The BMO Air Miles MasterCard is once again offering a 400 Air Miles sign up bonus after your first purchase. The highlights of the credit card are as follows:
- No annual fee
- Earn 400 Air Miles after first purchase (apply before August 31, 2014)
- Earn 1.5x the points and get up to 25% off rentals at National Car Rental & Alamo Rent A Car locations worldwide
- Earn 1.25x the points Shell locations in Canada
- Earn 1 points for every $20 spent on all other purchases
The no annual fee and 400 points sign up bonus makes this credit card a no brainer for those who enjoy collecting Air Miles. You will receive your bonus points within 45 days after your first purchases and if you cancel your credit card within 30 days of opening your account, you will not receive your points.
There is actually a limit on purchases made at Shell locations. First of all, it needs to be a participating Shell location and you can only earn points on a maximum of $2,500 spent per month.
Keep in mind, when calculating the number of Air Miles earned, the number of points earned will be rounded down to the nearest whole number and fractions of a point will not be awarded.
The contract code at National Car Rental is 3717122 and at Alamo Rent A Car 7014883, which must be included with reservation in order to receive discounts. The discount will only apply to the basic rate, which does not include governmentally-authorized or imposed surcharges, license recoupment/air tax recovery fees or optional items.
