50% RBC Rewards Conversion Bonus to British Airways’ Executive Club is BACK!

I thought we’d be stuck with the 30% RBC conversion bonus for the foreseeable future. I really did not expect to see the 50% bonus back again. The last time it was offered was back in the summer of 2015. I am more than happy to find out that I was wrong about this. This is a very pleasant surprise with RBC and Executive Club.

The promotion is valid between November 1, 2016 to December 17, 2016. Note that you need to convert a minimum of 10,000 RBC Rewards points into British Airways’ Executive Club, which will net you 15,000 Avios. Earn a 50% bonus really helps accelerate your miles and points accounts. These transfer bonuses are even more valuable to Canadians are they are to Americans, because it is difficult enough for us to accrue miles and points in a hurry as it is.

I find Executive Club’s Avios very valuable, as there are many options for Canadians to rack up Avois. Also, as a Oneworld member, it helps you diversify your portfolio, so that we (Canadians) are not just stuck with Aeroplan and Star Alliance.

Thumbs Up to RBC! Gotta give credit where credit is due!

  1. This is great news ! Just last week I was wondering about this promo coming back 🙂
Do you know if there is something special to do to get the 50% bonus ? Because I’ve just been to have a look at my account and when I choose to convert “15000” RBC points, it shows I’m gonna receive “15000” Avios. Is that normal ? Like they will give me the extra 7500 Avios automatically ? Any ideas ? Thank you !

    1. Yea, they are weird like that. Their system doesn’t show the bonus points. But you should be getting it. If you are uncertain, you can always give them a call!

  2. Please note this only applies to conversion of RBC points from an Avion card. It does not apply to other types of RBC credit cards.
