815,000 Canadians Affected by Uber Data Breach

I have been following this story closely, but held off posting until we saw how many Canadians were affected by the worldwide Uber data breach. This year has not been a great year for cyperattacks (e.g. Equifax, IHG, Air Miles).

The information that has been stolen from Uber’s database includes names, email addresses and mobile phone numbers. Perhaps not very detrimental, but you can probably expect a increase in scam emails and phone calls. So be wary of who is calling you.

Other information that would affect your credit, such as credit card numbers, bank account numbers or dates of birth seems to be in tact for the moment.
