Aeroplan Shopping Bonus

Just a couple of days away from Boxing Day. As I have stated in the past, don’t underestimate the bonuses miles that you can earn through online shopping portals. Currently, the stronger Canadian shopping portal is with Aeroplan. Below are some of the bonus mile offers to watch out for.

Aeroplan eStore

Between December 26, 2016 and December 31, 2016, you can earn up to 5x the miles when shopping online through the Aeroplan eStore.

SHOP.CA

Between December 24, 2016 and December 26, 2016, you can earn 2x the miles on all purchases of $100 or more on Shop.ca. Some exclusions apply, including gas gift cards.

Costco.ca

Between December 19, 2016 and December 29, 2016, you can earn 3x the miles on all purchases made at Costco.ca.

The Brick

Between December 24, 2016 (at 4pm) and December 26, 2016, you can earn either 4x or 6x the miles in-store and online on select categories.

Conclusion

These bonus offers make sense if you are going to make the purchase anyway. I would not go out of the way to buy something just to earn the bonus points. However, I would delay a purchase to catch these promotions.
