Top Credit Card Higher than Normal Sign Up Bonuses for July 2016

I made a small tweak to the title to avoid confusion. This list that I put together on a monthly basis is to capture all the higher than normal sign up bonuses. For all the top current credit card sign up bonus offers, you can hover over the “Top Credit Cards” in the menu bar. There you will find a drop down menu of the credit cards sorted by categories.

In terms of the current list for this month, there are quite a few changes from last month.

Strategy

Strategically, you would load most of your miles and points in the fall and part of winter for the current summer travels. Generally you want to plan at least 6 to 12 months ahead of time. So the miles and points that you load now will for trips during the coming winter or spring. Winter is always a nice time to get away from the cold if you are not as big of a fan of the weather like me. Otherwise, it doesn’t hurt to start now for next summer’s trips!

  1. What is your opinion of the AMEX platinum aeroplan ? I’ve considered it in the past but still haven’t jumped.

The 50k is significant, but so is the 500$ fee. What makes me wanna get it is that I can refer my gf for a total of 115k pts for 1000$. Less than 9 cents per… Thoughts ?
