30% Transfer Bonus from RBC Rewards to British Airways Executive Club
Not quite the 50% that I was hoping for, but still glad to see some transfer bonus still alive. RBC Rewards is currently offering a 30% transfer bonus to British Airways Executive Club.
This offer, which runs between November 15, 2017 to December 31, 2017, is only valid to RBC Avion cardholders, not just any RBC Rewards credit card. Valid credit cards are as follows:
- RBC Visa Infinite Avion
- RBC Royal Bank Visa Platinum Avion
- RBC Royal Bank Visa Business Platinum Avion
- RBC Avion Visa Infinite Privilege
You need to convert a minimum of 10,000 RBC Rewards points into Avios online or by calling in. I initially tried to do it online, but I noticed that the 30% bonus did not show up when they provided the conversion balance. So I phoned in to make my transfer. They explained it will still only show the 1:1 conversion (so 10,000 Avion points = 10,000 Avios). It will be up to Executive Club to credit the bonus 30%. It can take up to 4 weeks for the transfer to fully go through.
Unfortunately the best use of the RBC Avion card after the AAdvantage conversion devaluation.

I closed my Platinum Avion card in September. I was told I have 3 months to use my point before they expire, so in October I transferred them to British Airways Executive Club.
Have you ever had similar experience and do you think I can still get that bonus now?

I doubt you will be able to go backwards. Personally I hold my credit card until there is a transfer bonus.
Did i miss any chance this year in 2018 for getting 30%~50% Transfer Bonus from RBC Rewards to British Airways Executive Club?? I’ve been waiting for so long but haven’t heard from the same offer in 2018…
