[ANALYSIS] Delta SkyMiles Gold MasterCard

The Delta SkyMiles Gold MasterCard is actually the only Canadian co-branded airline credit card in Canada that does not have an annual fee. This credit card has generally been flying under the radar because not everyone is a fan of collecting Delta SkyMiles.

But if you are a fan of collecting SkyMiles, then you should definitely have this credit card in your wallet, considering that it does not have any annual fee. The highlights of the credit card are as follows:

  • No annual fee
  • No fee for supplementary cardholders
  • Earn 2,500 sign up bonus points after your first purchase
  • Earn 2 points for every $1 on Delta purchases
  • Earn 1 points for every $1 on all other purchases

These are not earth shattering benefits, but if you fly a few times a year on Delta Air Lines and you do not want to pay an annual fee, then the 2 points for every $1 spent on Delta Air Lines can be valuable.

This is a great way to earn Delta SkyMiles without having to pay an annual fee. What I like most about the SkyMiles program is that the points never expire, regardless of activity. Though they do require a lot of points to be able to redeem for a reward flight, you can take your time to earn your points without worrying about your points expiring.

Considering that this credit card does not have an annual fee, it is very hard for me to say anything bad about it. My only recommendation would probably be to increase the sign up bonus to 5,000 points instead. Otherwise, I like what I see.
