[PROMOTION] Aeroplan Conversion Bonus (April 28 to May 25, 2014) (expired)

From April 28 to May 25, 2014, you can convert your loyalty points into Aeroplan points and receive up to a bonus 25% return. The conversion works as follows:

Aeroplan Conversion (2)

The list of transfer partners include:

Hotels: Starwood Preferred Guest, Wyndham Rewards, Best Western Rewards, Choice Privileges, Coast Rewards, Club Carlson, Hilton HHonors, Marriott Rewards, Le Club Accorhotels (Accor hotels), and Golden Circle Award (Shangri-La Hotels).

Car Rentals: Hertz Gold Plus Rewards

Other: Diner’s Club Rewards, Points.com

I am quite disappointed to see that the American Express Membership Rewards program did not make the list again. It has not been on the list since 2011.

Keep in mind that every member can only earn a maximum of 25,000 bonus Aeroplan points. If you are looking to top up your Aeroplan account, now is a great time to do it. But if you only converting for the sake of converting, you might want to hold off, because you might get better value out of your points where they are. I would only convert my points to Aeroplan if I had a flight in mind and I need those extra points to bump me up to that particular ticket. Always remember to do the math before you make such a decision to see how you can get the best value for your points.
