Looking for Credit Card Comparison Ideas

Do you ever get faced with the question, which credit card should I get? I am trying to choose between credit card A or B.

I plan on writing a slew of posts with a “versus” theme for a direct comparison. I have written some in the past, but they are all outdated at this point in time:

I have a few others in mind, because I often get asked the question in person. However, people are usually looking for a quick answer instead. However I am more than happy to write up a more in-depth analysis of all the tangible and intangible factors considered in the comparison.

I have a few possibilities in mind:

  • Chase Amazon.ca Rewards Visa versus Rogers Platinum MasterCard
  • Scotiabank Momentum Visa Infinite versus CIBC Dividend Unlimited World Elite MasterCard
  • Bank of Montreal World Elite MasterCard versus MBNA World Elite MasterCard

… but I would rather like to know what my readers like to read about instead.

So please let me know in the comment section below which 2 or even up to 3 different credit cards that you would like to read a comparison about.

    1. Did you want a comparison of similar cards, like TD Infinite versus CIBC Infinite or comparison of the different cards too, because there are about 10 cards to compare at once.

      1. Hi Matthew;
        The more the merrier.
        Infinite vs infinite is good.
        All the comparable aeroplan cards would be appreciated.
        When I look at them I don’t see a whole lot of difference.
        Their bonus for using them to book an AC flight is pathetic at 1.25. You are better off to book AC flights on AMEX gold and get double points then converting to aeroplan.

  1. Some credit cards offer rewards in the form of points,. I’d like to know the exact value of the points.

  2. Hi Matthew,
    I might be a bit off topic, but i was wondering if you can discuss another topic. I’d like to know options to withdraw local currency in foreign countries. In general I understand using Chase Visa or Rogers MC (no foreign transaction fee) are the best options. But often I do need to withdraw cash from ATM, and I am wondering what are the my options to reduce fees.
