CIBC Aerogold Visa Card for Business Promotion (expired)
CIBC is extending its promotion with its co-branded Aeroplan business credit card, the: CIBC Aerogold Visa Card for Business. Below are the highlights of the credit card:
- $180 annual fee (first year fee waived if you apply before
October 31, 2015) - $50 for supplementary cardholders (9 cards maximum)
- Earn 20,000 sign up bonus points (if you apply before
October 31, 2015) - Earn 1.5 Aeroplan mile for every $1 spent on gas, travel and at participating CIBC Bonus Rewards restaurants, hotels, inns and spas
- Earn 1 Aeroplan mile for every $1 spent on all other purchases
- Receive 1 complimentary Lounge Pass to an Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge when travelling on an Aeroplan flight reward (on a flight operated by Air Canada, Air Canada rouge or Air Canada Express)
- Priority check-in and priority boarding
- Complimentary first checked bag on Air Canada flights
This is a very generous promotion offered by CIBC. This is definitely a no-brainer for business owners.
The $180 annual fee is generally fairly steep, especially considering that the non business version of this credit card is only $120 annual fee. Conversely, this business version of the credit card does not give any additional bonuses, so we would essentially be paying an extra $60 for nothing.
As a result, I suggest to take advantage of the sign up bonus, and then is strong consideration before renewing the credit card the following year.
