[PROMOTION] RBC Rewards Conversion Bonus with WestJet Rewards (May 1, 2015 – June 30, 2015) (expired)

Royal Bank’s points program, Avion (or RBC Rewards) is once again offering a transfer bonus to WestJet Rewards. The offer allows you to receive a 20% bonus for the transfer. You need to convert a minimum of 1,000 Avion points:

• 1,000 Avion points = 10 WestJet dollars

With the bonus, the same 1,000 Avion points now gets you 12 WestJet dollars.

We have seen a 25% bonus before, though I suspect that it may not occur again for a while. The offer runs from May 1, 2015 to June 15, 2015.

Personally, I prefer the 50% transfer bonus with Avios because I can get more value from there. But if you have some specific WestJet flights coming up and you prefer to lower your costs, this is a decent promotion to take advantage of. Just remember that you can start redeeming your WestJet Rewards when you hit 25 WestJet dollars.
