There is no specified end date for the first year fee waived, but it does say that it is limited time only:

  • First year free is a limited time offer and is activated after the first transaction. Annual fee will appear on initial statement and a credit will be applied on the second statement following the transaction. Meridian reserves the right to modify or withdraw this offer at any time without prior notice.

RBC Cash Back Preferred World Elite MasterCard

  • $99 annual fee
  • No annual fee for a supplementary cardholder
  • Earn 1.75% cash back for the first 6 months (could be limited time)

There does not seem to be an expiry date on the 1.75% cash back bonus. However, on the main RBC website, it still shows that you can only earn 1.5%. Because it is a special link only, I am uncertain how long it will be available for.

  1. The BMO CashBack World Elite MasterCard was devalued last year to reduce the normal earning rate to 1.5%. This list still reflects the old earning rate of 1.75%.

You may want to add a note that the Meridian Visa cards are restricted to residents of Ontario.

  2. You may want to add a note that the RBC Cashback MC Preferred World Elite has a $25K spend cap for the normal 1.5% earning rate and promotional 1.75% earning rate. The earning rate is only 1% on spending in excess of $25K during an Annual Period.
