  1. Oh, my… RBC still can’t get their stuff together. When applying for 25K Avion, you go through all process and they show you “You’ve been approved!” with only 15K card available… and if you try again, they do another hard hit to credit history and advise you that can’t give you response.

One would expect more from RBC. After too many years with Amex, I forgot how inconsistent big banks are.

  2. Short update… RBC did send me Visa Infinite, even if I have NOT completed online application (scary). I called to inquire on how many points will I get, and agent commented that they have received information that there is an issue with the card bonus and that they were informed people will be calling about this – so after 20-minute hold (???) the request for “missing” 10K has been submitted. The rest of the points (usual 15K) will post after the first statement, as per usual process.

      1. I’ve got my Avion card last week and it was under review for a few days, but even before I got my card I could see it in online banking with 25K points on it.
But I have an issue with MBNA Best Western MasterCard, after completion of the application through your link I’ve got something like: thanks for applying but at this time we can’t approve you. When I call Customer Service they couldn’t find anything in their system. I’m worrying about this, hopefully the link is legit. Does anyone else has issues with mbna lately?
        Thanks

        1. YMMV with the link on my post. Usually MBNA is pretty good at taking off inactive links. Will take this off my next month’s list if the problem persists.

  3. That’s really funny Matt, but when I applied through your friend’ link (prince of travel) I ended up with two cards one has 25K on it and the other 15K, so now I am waiting for 1.5 bonus to transfer them to BA Avios hopefully it happens this year.
