One of my favourite survey programs in Canada is called AskingCanadians, which is free to sign up.
Asking Canadians is a survey program that asks you to share your opinion in return for rewards. You can earn HBC Rewards, Aeroplan or Petro-Points. You need to qualify with specific characteristics for particular surveys. Factors include age group, gender, location, preferences, etc. If you do not qualify for a survey, you can still get some points.
The number of points you earn for each survey varies, generally depending on the length of the survey. In case you are wondering, below is a list of topics that you may receive a survey about:
- Banking & Financial Services
- Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical
- Medicine & Health Care
- Hospitality & Tourism
- Information Technology
- Internet & E-commerce
- Personal Care or Service
- Restaurant or Food Service
- Sports or Recreation
- Arts & Entertainment
- Food & Confectionary Products
- Telecommunication Services
- Personal Hygiene Products
- Alcoholic Beverages
- Carbonated Beverages
- Non-Alcoholic Beverages
When I first joined Asking Canadians, I was collecting HBC points, but since, I have switched to Aeroplan points instead. You can only earn one set of points at a time. So every time you do a survey, it automatically banks points into the program of your choosing. You can always change the program of preference, but it will still be one at a time.
You won’t be rich with points, but I feel that it gives a fair amount of points for the time that I put in. I definitely recommend this program to anyone who is willing to do a little extra work to bank some loyalty points to help you redeem for more free stuff.
